Dr. Cyrus Ali Zargar was honorably invested as the official director and endowed distinguished professor for the Al-Ghazali Islamic Studies Chair at UCF. This Chair is devoted to the study of Islamic Studies at UCF which currently presents in the form of a minor in Islamic Studies. The state of Florida has 12 official state Universities however this is the first Islamic Studies program ever created in Florida. With the permission of Allah SWT, ICO played the leading role in the creation of this Islamic Studies Chair by spreading awareness and by raising funds.
This Islamic studies chair will prove to be of great influence because UCF has about 69,000 students which makes it the largest university in the United States and very influential.
